Tracks to Literacy was established by Rosemary Simpson and Laura Glisson to provide support for teachers, speech pathologists, parents and school leaders to improve the oral language skills and academic and social outcomes for school-aged children.
​
With over 50 years of combined experience, Laura and Rosemary strive to provide evidence-aligned resources, planning support and professional learning for immediate implementation in the classroom, home or clinic.

Professional Learning
Face to face and online workshops
At Tracks to Literacy we provide professional learning for teachers, education assistants, speech pathologists, and parents on a wide range of topics related to oral language, reading and writing.

Laura and Rosemary's professional learning sessions include practical, evidence-based strategies for immediate implementation in the classroom and clinic.
Professional learning is custom-designed to suit the specific needs of your staff and unique school and clinic community.
Resource Toolkits
Educational resources for the classroom, the clinic and the home
Tracks to Literacy have a range of resources available for whole class, small group and individual instruction and intervention, covering all areas of oral language.
Our toolkits are easy to use, engaging for students, and specifically designed to make the translation of research evidence into practice easy for teachers, speech pathologists and parents.

Our toolkits can be stand-alone, or form part of a whole school approach to instruction for oral language, reading, writing and social emotional mental health.
Coaching
Modelling, observing, reflecting and collaborating
Using a supportive, collaborative and professional approach, the Tracks to Literacy team can provide mentoring and coaching to teachers, education assistants, speech pathologists, principals, deputy principals, and parents with a focus on oral language, literacy and social skills.
Both Rosemary and Laura have been trained in Growth Coaching International, peer coaching, peer mentoring and reflective supervision, and bring with them decades of leadership experience with a focus on capacity building in schools.

Coaching models are co-designed with you and your staff to best fit your specific school context. Coaching can be implemented individually, in small groups, collaboratively with school leadership teams, face to face and online.
